Business Development Intern

Job description

Unpaid position.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the collaborative economy is facing a period of rapid development. The financial crisis of 2008 saw the rise of early marketplaces like Uber and AirBnb and now the logistical and employment challenges of the current crisis highlight the opportunities to improve society through technology.

This is what Tiptapp does, and we invite you to join us as an intern in 2020!

About Tiptapp
Tiptapp is a new way of moving things around. Our app matches you in real-time to other users that have extra space in their vehicle and time to give your stuff a ride from a to b. You get instant help with deliveries, shopping, moves and recycling of items of any size. This way we help users to cope with everyday logistics while providing a source of extra income for others. By decreasing the number of cars on the road and increasing reuse and recycle rates, we directly contribute to reducing the environmental impact of our users in the cities where we operate.

Tiptapp launched in Stockholm in 2016 and is backed by prominent marketplace investors. We operate across Sweden, London and Lisbon with +300,000 users, and we are growing rapidly with a global scope. We are an ambitious, fast-paced & hard-working team looking to lead the way of the collaborative economy and we are looking for interns who share our vision to join us for the summer/fall of 2020.

About the role

  • Business development, including existing partnerships with leading European companies
  • New market expansion, including competitive analysis & launch strategy
  • Business analytics

Our office is at Wework in central Stockholm but we currently work mostly remotely. We offer flexibility both in terms of location and exact timing of the internship, and we will make sure you get vacation during the summer. The internship is unpaid but for the right candidate there will be opportunities for a prolonged internship, as well as for future full-time roles.

We look for people with the high intellectual aptitude and flexibility required to formulate and evaluate business opportunities in an uncharted and constantly changing environment. You should be an action-oriented self-starter who enjoys both formulating and implementing ideas. You are creative and communicative, able to critically reformulate ideas and effectively communicate them to others. You are passionate about technology and the collaborative economy.
